Credit For Taxes Paid To Other Cities: Canal Fulton residents who are employed or conduct business activity in a city other than Canal Fulton and pay a Municipal Tax to that city, shall be allowed a 100% credit up to 2%. Credit cannot exceed 100% of the 2% tax rate for each W-2 form you receive. If a resident lived in Canal Fulton for part of the year and paid taxes to another city, the maximum credit is prorated as well as the wages. The Northwest School District Tax may not be used as a credit for Municipal Taxes paid.
To utilize the e-file system:
You may use the Tax Connect website to view the status of your return, print your return, or make your payment.
Returns cannot be completed without W2s, W2Gs, 1099s, and supporting schedules showing the taxes that you have filed with other localities.
If you have a balance due, these are your payment options:
You can pay tax balances and estimated payments online. (Note: Card processing fees will be applied.)
You can mail in a check with a copy of your return.
You can make an appointment at City Hall and make the payment.
You can call in and make the payment with a debit or credit card. (Note: No credit card processing fees are applied.)
Balance is due at the time of filing. First-quarter estimates are due by April 15, 2024.
If you requesting a refund, form RR must be attached or mailed in. Refund cannot be processed without a completed form RR.

Documentation must be uploaded on the e-file website. Before continuing with the e-file system, taxpayers must be aware that any documentation requested must be submitted within 30 days or the e-file will be considered incomplete.
